Antiperspirants
I used to lather on my deodorant in the morning like there was no tomorrow. I would have to buy my deodorant sticks 3 at a time because I went through them so quickly. My wife would laugh everyday watching me in the bathroom mirror as I painted my underarms in a snowboll of anti-perspirant.
With Antiperspirants, you have a few options. First let's attack the obvious. When you buy your antiperspirant. Look at the label. See if it says "Antiperspirant" or "Deodorant". In the paragraph above, I use the terms interchangeably as most people do, but take notice. There IS a big difference. You'll want an antipersirant that has Aluminum Chloride. If you buy a deodorant you're basically pickin up a stick of armpit perfume. It WON'T stop the sweating without that magic ingredient (Aluminum Chloride).
One of the most prominent deodorants(antiperspirants) to treat hyperhidrosis is Drysol. This deodorant is offered by prescription only. It works well for most people. The high levels of Aluminum Chloride clog the sweat pores and block the perspiration from coming out.
The Problem with Drysol
The biggest complaint about Drysol is its tendency to irritate the skin. Directions for this product usually recommend application about 10 minutes before bed every night. After my third night using Drysol, I had a burning rash under my arms that was raw and painful to the touch. This is not an uncommon reaction. The chemicals are just way to strong for continuous use.
I give Drysol a lot of credit for helping with palmer hyperhidrosis (sweaty hands). It does seem to resolve this condition pretty well. But once more, the irritation will seep in after a few days and leave your hands with a "plasticy" feeling. Your hands may be dry. But the texture becomes kind of strange. However, I can't deny that overall it is an improvement.
Your dermatologist can determine if Drysol is a good alternative for you.
Forget the Chemicals... Stop Sweating the Natural Way
I want to show you how to cure your sweating without the using of these Aluminum Chloride chemicals. Actually with all the links researchers have found between Aluminum Chloride antiperspirants and breast cancer, I'm not a big advocate for these Drysol Solutons.
The REAL solution is applied using a simple three step process. You apply the method nightly and it just takes a couple of minutes. Check out this natural excessive sweating solution HERE.
