I have been struggling with really bad underarm odor, no matter what deodorant I use. I tried just rubbing a small amount of baking soda in my palms and putting under my arms after shower and the odor is all but gone! Amazing..except now I do get small red bumps all under my arms (irritation) and frequently bumps under the skin that feel like swollen painful glands? I hate the bumps, but the odor was worse...any suggestions?

Hi,

I don't now whether i shoud try this or not. If you do have trouble with sweaty hands there is a persription that really helps! All you have to do is put some on you hands at night and then in the moring you wash your hands with soap and water and your goo to go. It truly works! I dont know if it works on your arm pits... i will try and report back ASAP.

i've tried everything, literally: hypnosis, acupuncture, aluminium chloride, soda, cider vinegar, lime. everything. it's in my mind. i'm getting out of it now with cbt therapy: highly recommended to everyone as it works on your mind. try to read about it first: how to overcome social anxiety is the book that summarise the cognitive behavioural therapy and i am currently on my 3rd session with a therapist. it's working. good luck

I know that baking soda helps a lot with sweating and odor. I have used it on my pubic area as well as under my arms and no longer need to take three showers a day! I just sprinkle some on in both of the afore mentioned areas and voila! It is amazing.

Although I have great success in eliminating the body odor and excessive sweating, a new problem has occured; bumps. I am accrediting this to the baking soda, since I have never had this problem before. I have even used the baking soda on my face as a mask (just as another guest mentioned) and have acquired a bump so large on my chin that it looks as though my face has extended downwards about 3 inches. Therefore, I am unsure as to whether I should do a baking soda bath blast or not. If I do, I will come back and post comments. Thanks for the tips.

I tried today the bath for the first time. I sweat more. Did anyone have a negative effect at first but positive after a few days?

Thanks

I will consider giving this a try as I have had good results with baking soda in the past. Like Jina J. I am more concerned with odor than a lot of sweating, which I do quite a bit. Will post results as soon as I have them!

Once a week, after my shower, I pour some baking soda on my wash cloth and scrub all over my body with it. I make sure I have covered my entire body with baking soda for 3-5 mins. then rinse. It has greatly reduced my body odour and also exfoliates the skin making it soft. Give it a try. may work for you.

I'm sure. But, I'm not quite sure if I sweat as much as everyone else. I really just use it for anything last minute.
